A Vocational Service Project by the Rotary Club of Pantai Valley. admin
In conjunction with one of the Vocational Service objectives, “Sponsor or participate in a career development project for people with disabilities”, the Rotary Club of Pantai Valley visited a Home managed by 20 disabled people. This was to learn how the disabled develop their living skills by recycling old newspapers,empty bottles & cans etc. and also how they overcome their disabilities to achieve career success.
This activity was headed by RCPV Vocational Service Director, Rtn Jim Looi and advisor PP Rengasamy. The breakfast spread was generously sponsored by some of our club members. Thank you Fellow Rotarians ! Club Service Director Rtn Peggy Loong organised the refreshments and breakfast fellowship was organised by Rtn Santhisegaran.
The attendees consisted of RCPV Rotarians, their families and guests. They are President Chee Hong, Ann Siew Yong & daughter Amber together with the 3 daughters of the members of our Sister Club, RC Tyan Chung Club, Rtn Peggy Loong & children, Rtn Lam Pheng, Treasurer Rtn Keng Choo, PP Esther Tan, NGD Rtn Ian Homer , VP Rtn Yeow Ai Lin & guest, Rtn Susan Yap & son Gia Yung, SAA Rtn Lay Yeong and son, Rtn Margaret Lee, Rtn Santhisegaran, Rtn Lee Siow Hong & Ann Siong Woan & sons Cheng Jun and Cheng Hao, PP Sathi and sons, Rtn Suki and Rtn Jim Looi & Ann Caroline.

The event started off at about 9am with a warm welcome by Ms Sia Siew Chin, the Exe Dir of the Beautiful Gate Home and continued with the recycling activities. The visit finished at 11:00am with knowledge gained and great fellowship among Rotarians, Families and Friends.
